Holi was celebrated at the Indian consulate in New York
with 150 guests from the New York-New Jersey-
Connecticut tristate area.
Consul General Prabhu Dayal spoke about India’s secular
traditions and said the consulate celebrates all national
Indian festivals.
They all spoke about Holi celebrations in their countries,
arguing that the festival brought fraternity and cohesion
among the various sections of society. Holi signified the
arrival of spring season and moods of people changed with
the celebration of the festival marked by color, music and
dance.
