India successfully test-fires nuclear missile
India test-fired its nuclear-capable, surface-to-surface Agni-II ballistic missile,
September 30, from the Wheeler Island off
the Orissa coast. The missile has a strike
range of 1,242 miles and is equipped with a
special navigation system to achieve accuracy.
